Natural Gas Discounts for Seniors in Georgia
How do I qualify for the senior natural gas discount?
If you’re over 65, you could qualify for an automatic 2¢-per-therm discount on your natural gas rates plus a lower customer service fee. Your senior gas discount is available with our fixed-rate and variable-rate plans.
If you’re eligible, your discount will automatically apply to your rate once you sign up and enter your birthdate.
What other natural gas discounts are available for seniors?
In addition to reduced rates, some seniors are eligible for additional savings on their natural gas bills. If you're 65 years or older and you have a total annual combined household income of $31,920 or less, you're eligible for a monthly discount of up to $14 on Atlanta Gas Light's Base Charge, For more information, please view this fact sheet from AGL (Español).
If you qualify, please complete the mail-in application found here: English and Español.
Once your application has been processed and approved by AGL, your discount will be automatically applied to your natural gas bill from Gas South.
